University E-Learning Forum: Experience sharing on the offering of MOOC & Blended Course

In this sharing session, the presenter has provided an update on the MOOC and e-learning initiatives at HKUST. He has also shared his experience in the offering of “An Introduction to Computer using Java” as a blended learning course using the flipped classroom approach in Spring 2014 and then offered as a MOOC on edX in Summer 2014. In addition, the presenter has discussed some preliminary results on learning analytics using data collected on the learning pattern of students.
