In this seminar, Prof Fitzgerald talked about the recent dominance of STEM only education which might have negative impact on students' interest in liberal arts. In her talk “Liberal Arts in the Digital Age”, Prof Fitzgerald also explored the dimensions of this issue and suggest some solutions to the problem. Prof Cunningham introduced the Integrative Experience requirement at UMass Amherst and explain how it addresses the challenges associated with educational fragmentation.
