TPG Exit Survey

Background

In Oct 2008, the Senate Committee on Teaching and Learning Quality (CTLQ) passed a resolution that all taught postgraduate (TPG) programs should conduct an exit survey to collect feedback from their graduating students. A standard TPG Exit survey questionnaire was then drafted and later endorsed by CTLQ.

Data collection

In March 2009, the first TPG Program exit survey exercise was carried out by CEI using the HKUST Survey Tool. A total of 410 TPG program graduating students completed the survey. The exit survey became an annual exercise and from the academic year 2009/2010 onwards, there will be three rounds of data collection in each academic year, namely in December / January, in May and in August.
