Introducing Alumni Survey 2013
Background
In 2009, with the enthusiastic support of our alumni, the University completed a highly successful large-scale survey which collected very useful data from over 2000 graduates. We are about to launch another large-scale alumni survey and we look forward to the enthusiastic support of our alumni.
Objectives
This survey, as a continuation of the 2009 study, aims to probe into the following three important issues relating to our graduates' work experience:
- The level of work readiness of our graduates in terms of their key generic skills
- The challenges fresh graduates encountered during their transition into the workplace
- The career development of our graduates
Findings of the study will help the University to formulate more effective education programs to better prepare our future graduates to meet the challenges they may face at work and to excel in their careers.
Data collection
Informed by the findings from a series of focus group meetings held in May/June 2012, the Alumni Survey 2013 questionnaire was drafted and piloted with hundreds of alumni. In Jan 2013, an invitation to participate in the survey will be sent by post and email to 6500 alumni who graduated in 2010 or earlier, together with a small token of appreciation (by post only).
To ensure that the mail can reach you, please follow the instructions below and update your contact information by 6 Jan 2013 (Sunday).
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a productive New Year!
