LMES v2.7 is now released

Dear LMES Users,

We are pleased to inform you that there are more new and enhanced features in the LMES now. Here are some highlights:

Messages Tool: With this tool, instructors may communicate with students without going back to their email system. This tool works like an internal messaging system. It allows instructors to send messages to a student or a group of students within a course site. Notification on new messages for different courses will also be shown on user’s home page for a quicker access.

Sign-up Tool: This tool allows instructors to set up time slots for students to sign-up for general office hour time slots, or for specific appointments such as feedback on an assignment, etc.

Site Stats Tool: This tool provides instructors with a brief overview on the usage of a course site, such as the number of visits per day, the number of times a piece of learning content or a learning activity is being accessed. The tool also allows you to customize what goes into the overview and to further drill down to detailed usage statistics if necessary.

Library ToolBox: This tool was developed together with the Library. It allows instructors to set up course related library resources; such as encyclopedias, databases, research guides, citation manager, etc. Students can access relevant library resources and search for books and journal articles at their fingertips.

Other major enhancements include the direct sending of course grades to the Grade Reporting System in the SIS, the availability of student photos in the Roster tool, improved interface and features in the Self-Test tool, etc.
