Flipped Classroom |

The National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT) recommends the Replacement Model as one of their 6 models for course redesign. The Replacement Model is similar to “Flipped”. It reduces the number of in-class meetings and a) replaces some in-class time with out-of-class, online, interactive learning activities, or b) also makes significant changes in the remaining in-class meetings. |

Coursera, one of the key MOOC providers, has collected best-practices and community resources centered around the flipped classroom and blended learning initiatives of the Coursera-partner community and turned it into a field guide for public access. |

Dr. Dough Holton, an Associate Director of Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, is constructing a Google Site with information around digital learning resources and teaching tips. One of the sections covers the flipped classroom approach, including technological and pedagogical tips to support the approach. |
