Seminar Overview:

In this sharing, Prof. Chii Shang has walk through some importance and tricks he learned from his joyful journey of converting a traditional lecture-base course to a blended, peer, team-project-based, and even experiential learning course, without the hassle of making lecture videos. The sharing itself was not a lecture/seminar; instead the audience has experienced blended learning and interactions with the speaker.

About the Speaker:

Professor Chii Shang is a Professor and Associate Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He received B.S. degree at National Taiwan University and his master and doctor degrees at Purdue University. In addition to research, he has many interests including teaching. He has received one teaching award from the School of Engineering. The successful transformation of CIVL1140 from lecture-base to blended learning made him the winner of Honorary Mention of Common Core Course Excellence Award 2015.
