Workshop 1: Teaching and Learning Experientially
In this workshop, the presenter provided faculty an opportunity to consider the newest thoughts and practices on engaged teaching in the classroom related to experiential learning with attention to learning goals, intended learning outcomes, and engaged learning practices that promote student responsibility and involvement in their own learning. There also had the opportunity for faculty to integrate some of these ideas into their own syllabi and course content.
Workshop 2: Reflection and Assessment: Making Student Classroom Learning Engaging, Productive, and Measurable
In this workshop, the presenter has explored both the theory and methodology for incorporating reflection into the classroom and the components of a strong experiential learning assessment plan for use in a classroom environment. Opportunity has also been provided for faculty to integrate some of these ideas into their own course content.
