Fall 2012 TA Orientation and Induction Program
The Fall 2012-2013 Teaching Assistant Orientation and Induction Program was commenced in late August 2012. A mass orientation session was hold on 24 August (Friday) for all new RPGs. The TA training program was divided into two sessions, the "core session" and the "elective session". All new TAs were required to attend at least a total of 14 hours of workshops from the core and elective sessions. Upon completion of the program, each TA will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement in May 2013.

- TA101 Mass Orientation Session

Description: This was a face-to-face mass orientation session for ALL incoming TAs. TAs were greeted by Prof Mordecai GOLIN, Associate Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies, and Mr Nick NOAKES, Director of CELT. TAs had also be briefed about the basic information regarding the TA Orientation and Induction program as well as the supporting services at UST. - TA105 Using AV Facilities in Lecture Theater and IT Classroom

Description: This was a 1-hour workshop offered by ITSC for ALL new TAs. This workshop aimed to: (1) acquaint TAs with all instructional equipment and facilities offered by ITSC, and (2) provide guidelines and hands-on practice in using computing facilities and Personal Response System (PRS) in lecture theaters and IT classrooms. - TA106-I RPG/TA Support & Services (I)
