Practical approaches to outcome based education and evaluation

Date:
Monday, 31 October, 2011 - 12:30 to 14:00

Presenter: Prof Chi-Kwong Li, Visiting Professor of Mathematics

Format: Seminar

In this seminar, the speaker shared his experience in using an OBE approach in his teaching.  The positive outcomes and obstacles to the adaptation were also been discussed.  In addition, he shared with us his experience in designing evaluation and assessment schemes for the course with students. This design has led to more efficient ways to communicate mutual expectations between students and the instructor. This in turn has created a more engaging environment in which students and the instructor can improve themselves, the course, and the learning and teaching effectively.
