Student Learning Research Seminar: Academic & social integration of first-year students at HKUST

In this seminar the presenters has examined the patterns of students’ academic and social integration along different dimensions and explained how these dimensions relate to students’ university engagement, relations, and overall evaluation of their first year of study at HKUST. Data have primarily been collected from the first year student experience survey.  Stories from individual students extracted from an interview study has also been shared to probe deeper into the issues.
