Teaching Creativity in Higher Education

In this seminar, the speaker has explained why creative capacity is so important to 21st century times, and how it can be made less vaporous and more visible as a set of dispositions and capabilities that can be developed through appropriate pedagogical practices. She also focused on the challenges we all face in preparing young people for a world vastly different from the one most academics grew up in. She explained what ‘second generation’ creative capacities are and how to design pedagogical activities that are more likely to result in creative learning outcomes.
In the workshop session, it has involved outlining practice suggestions by way of a structured professional conversation exploring specific examples of creative pedagogies in action.
