uReply: Quick and Easy Tool to Maximize Students’ Learning

Seminar Overview:

In-class time is a precious commodity for instructors. Instructors are often required to deliver a whole lot of content within time constraint, let alone making sure every single student understand the content.

When facilitated with technology, it is possible to maximise your students’ learning both inside and outside classroom. In this session, the presenters aimed at introducing the simple yet powerful tool (uReply) for the participants to use in their class, such that instructor can engage students in various learning activities, and better understand students’ needs/performances through meaningful interactions.

uReply was first developed by a group of teaching and learning experts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Limited free testing account will be offered to faculty/instructors who attend the session.

About the Speakers:

Professor Lam joined the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in January 2003. He has extensive interest and experience in teaching and learning principles, case-based teaching and learning, web-assisted teaching and learning, and evaluation of elearning and mlearning. He also has experience in designing educational tools. uReply (http://web.ureply.mobi) is a classroom student response system developed under his supervision.
