Seminar Overview:

Findings of the 3-year longitudinal study has been shared by the presenter in this seminar.  The study was carried out in 2010 – 13 involving a sample of around 400 UG students at HKUST as an attempt to provide answers to these and other related questions. Data were collected about the various aspects of their academic experience and attainment of learning outcomes. Statistical analysis of the data collected using multiple techniques has produced some interesting insights about how various factors, such as academic motivation, course and assessment experience, affect students’ learning approach and learning outcomes.
