In the first part of the workshop was about selecting a journal in the fields of social science. The presenter, Yong Kil, has shared his experience and demonstrated how to utilize bibliometric databases such as Thompson ISI, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Publish or Perish. In the second half of the workshop was about how to get journal ranking information from your peers and leading researchers. The presenter Hugh has shared his experience in interacting with supervisors and collaborators and getting some insight into preferences of journals in a particular field.
