Prof Ira Jacobson is one of the world experts on Engineering education, outcome-based learning approaches, and program accreditation. In the workshop, he covered:
- Outcome-based education and evaluation – how do we do it?
- Program assessment – is it different from course assessment?
- Constructing OBE courses to support program assessment
- Integrating OBE course/program requirements to meet outcomes
- Assessment criteria
The overall objective of the workshop was to get faculty to understand and begin the process of rewriting their courses to meet outcome assessment criteria and to understand where their courses fit in the overall educational program.
